Hawke's Bay is the newest Great Wine Capital of the World, setting it alongside eleven other prestigious wine regions.

Admission to the Great Wine Capitals programme, as the newest Capital worldwide, came in May 2023 after a stringent selection process that looked at our region’s winegrowing industry, history, wine tourism, educational opportunities, business, and travel, as well as our cities and region itself.
