Marketing

Marketing and promotion is the key function of Hawke’s Bay Tourism along with the marketing teams of local Councils. The level of support will be commensurate with the economic impact of the event.

Assistance can be provided with preparing a comprehensive marketing plan for your event, including providing a template if required. Additionally, Hawke’s Bay Tourism may include your event as part of a wider calendar of marketing activity that aims to encourage visitors to the region, such as databases, social media, display advertising and via www.hawkesbaynz.com.

The regional brand assets can be made available for use through your channels, while new events may also be considered for assistance with the creation of event branding and collateral.

Bids and funding

With experience in preparing bid and other funding documentation, the Regional Events Advisory Group can provide guidance in preparing submissions.

There may also be funds available from the Regional Events Advisory Group – in order to be considered, please contact us for an event assessment form.

Logistics

Council contacts can provide information and guidance on facilities that are available within each city/district. Hawke’s Bay also has a wide range of equipment and services suppliers to meet your event requirements, which Council contacts can also provide connections to.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of most events around New Zealand. We can work with you, and several Hawke’s Bay agencies including Sport Hawke’s Bay and Volunteering Hawke’s Bay to assess your requirements and develop a plan to recruit and train volunteer resource for your event.

Tourism services

i-SITE teams in Hawke’s Bay can provide assistance with group bookings of accommodation, attractions and activities. Hawke’s Bay Tourism, along with all of the councils, can also provide collateral and maps to ensure your event attendees make the most of their Hawke’s Bay experience.
